The Low-Carb Food Pyramid

Former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman, who was in charge of the USDA when it released its Foody Pyramid as a diet guide, has now backtracked, saying "We're learning a lot about diet that we didn't know before. Things we thought were true 10, 20 and 30 years ago may not be true anymore." (Aug. 28, 2002, CNN Crossfire)

But while the government ponders its next set of guidelines, the best choice for most obese Americans and those with diabetes is the Low-Carb Food Pyramid.
